I play a Ping i15 and AJ put me in a new driver in 6 swings that went 15 yards farther than my Ping that had pretty solid numbers already. | I have wanted to get fitted for a set of clubs for some time, specifically a driver.I had heard from other friends mentioning the process and I could see the results on the scorecards of my friends.
Enter John and his team at Nakashima Golf Studio. I contacted them on Facebook and one thing lead to another and we scheduled for a fitting.
What a great experience! What I learned about my swing and how I hit my clubs more than made up for the cost of the fitting. I found that my current driver was anything but what was advertised and although it was "adjustable" it was not within specification to start with....as it was advertised as a 10.5 degree driver but actually measured out to almost 13 degrees!!!
John and AJ worked at reviewing each swing, and changing up club heads and shafts to find the right combination for my swing.
Then there is the club. I was fitted and purchased a Nakashima Driver and could not be happier. I have played several rounds with it now and am impressed with the accuracy and distance of this club. I have let a few friends try out my driver as well and I am sure they will be contacting John too.

| John, I am very happy with all of my Nakashima clubs. Since I first got the driver, and then all other clubs, my handicap has dropped from about 11 or 12 to 8. My drives are generally longer by 10 to 20 yards, and my rescue clubs and irons are more consistent than anything I ever had before.

| I have added at least 25-35 yards to my drives with the new NTec 2.8 driver that John & AJ built to fit my swing. I was hitting the ball 205 carry and now my average carry is around 235 yards and recently I have been getting total yards of 250-260! Even better, my accuracy is improved. After playing a couple of more rounds, I have to say I like the driver a lot. Great fit, balance, and feel. I have some things to work on with my swing (I have a tendency to pull the ball if I stay back and pivot off my back leg) but the drives fly long and straight.
Distance is substantially better regardless of wind direction, while penetration into the wind is incredible. The downfield backspin induced lift I used to see is gone.

| Both John and AJ we more than helpful. They took their time with me to dial in clubs for the swing I have. There was no pressure and I feel like I got a golf clinic from them. John and AJ worked to find the driver head and shaft that when teamed together, provide me the best launch angle, spin rate and shot pattern. I returned and was fit for fairway and utility clubs that perfectly fill the yardage gap between my driver and irons.

| Your Nakashima Golf Studio absolutely rocks and I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed being a part of Dashiel’s club fitting last weekend! There was something going on in your studio on Saturday that was so pure and natural that I cannot do justice to my description; suffice it to say that the combination of you and AJ and the lay-out of the studio and what happened in the studio (light, sound, visuals, etc.) all combined to create a perfect version of golf’s feng shui.
Dash used the Nakashima driver when we played 18 holes of golf on Sunday and absolutely loved the results…a high percentage of his drives were long and far. He wasn’t gloating when he told me that it was “a new feeling waiting for the others to catch up to his position on the course”. The club will make a huge difference in his game and I know he will play and enjoy playing more as he now has an awesome tool to improve with. The perfect example is the text I just received from Dash asking to meet me at Riverwalk to hit balls between classes at SDSU today…

I wasn't sure if Nakashima golf would be right for me because I have a high handicap and most people I had talk to were very good golfers. I made an appointment for the studio and talked with John and AJ about my concerns. John and AJ were very helpful; they showed me how my driver was robbing me of distance and direction for my swing speed. I am very happy with the results of my experience at the Nakashima studio and have returned since my initial visit and purchased a three wood.

During a recent trip to San Diego my husband surprised me with a visit to the Nakashima Golf Studio! It was a very impressive visit with one-on-one attention. I went in a little skeptical - walked out a true believer and would highly recommend a fitting to everyone who loves the game of golf! The guys made me feel extremely comfortable and at ease, actually I think I walked out with a swollen head and ready to take on every golf course. During this winter season I have gained at least 10 yards and improved accuracy - I'm looking so forward to golf this summer!

| I am what you would consider a bit of a gulf nut. I have been through most of the big OEM fitting processes over the years as well as being a Mitchell trained master club fitter, I am in the golf industry as a profession so I feel like I have a pretty good understanding of what is out there and what is available. What John and AJ do at the Nakashima Golf - San Diego studio is exceptional for several reasons. Primarily, it's their knowledge of getting you fit into the right equipment using their technology and understanding of the game and ball flight laws. From a club fitter's standpoint, what I like most is that when they find the club that set up perfectly for your unique swing, they don't just take down the numbers and send it out to some factory where someone who has never met you puts the club together and sends it to you in a box, never being hit before. What makes Nakashima Golf custom fitting different is when you find that club that you hit perfectly, they literally put that club together, put a new grip on it and you leave with the exact same club you were just hitting. To me, that's what makes them stand out, head and shoulders above what everyone else is doing in the golf industry.

| This is my third club testing experience and certainly the most rewarding. The Nakashima approach is extensive, thorough, and conclusive. My initial testing and fitting at the San Diego Studio was over two hours, I walked out with a new driver, played it on a course the next day, then went back for tweaking and refitting the next day. I ended up with improved ball control and 10 to l5 yards more overall distance on the eventual fitting. Like any new club, it takes time to feel the best rhythm of the shaft and head, so you must be patient with the process. That said, I'm definitely committed to my new driver and the results are rewarding... The Nakashima approach and equipment have been a success for me.

I made my initial appointment through the recommendation of a friend who had been to the studio. The moment I stepped into the facility I was very impressed. The attention to detail predicated on my swing had me consistently driving the ball 20 yards further than with my previous driver. John and AJ not only gave me more distance and confidence with my new driver but a commitment to making sure I had the right club for me.
